Customizing Your
Color with Gold
Gold
is, and always has been, an irresistible
attraction. Why wouldn't we want to adorn
ourselves with the radiant warmth of the sun?
But then comes the first question - how best to
decorate ourselves with it while not only
maintaining, but enhancing our own inherent
beauty or brawn?
We
pride ourselves on delivering personalized
service to each and every one of our customers.
Part of that is supplying you with a range of
colors from which to choose. The most important
consideration when choosing a color is, of
course, personal preference - if you like it,
that's the first criteria. Chances are they will
like it too and that is what is important.
However, there are
other aspects to look at when searching for that
perfect piece, the necklace or bracelet that
will take your look from ordinary to fantastic.
Read on and follow the path to a gold that's
best for you.
A Colorful Rainbow
of Gold to Choose From
Have you ever wanted
to get a look that you saw in a magazine of some
star or public figure? Those gorgeous looks are
studied and worked down to the last wisp of hair
and adornment of a bracelet. This same ethic
applies to selecting gold jewelry. Just as in
shopping for clothing, you should lean toward a
color that will enhance your skin, eye and hair
color. Here are some general rules to follow
when deciding which is best:
-
Yellow-gold
will bring out the warm and luminous glow of
people who have golden undertones to their
skin. The fair person with ivory or "peaches
and cream" skin, the true redhead (often with
freckles), the golden-beige brunette, the
person who blushes easily, often epitomize
this skin type. The hair color of a person
with this skin type can range from flaxen or
yellow blond, through auburn and red, to
creamy white or oyster gray.

-
White-gold
brings out the striking cool colors of those
who have a blue or blue-pink undertone to
their skin. Most olive-skinned people and
those of African or Asian descent fit within
this category. However, it also includes
people who have milky white skin, or skin tone
with a pink, translucent quality to it (Snow
White), as well as beige skin with a flush of
rosy color. The hair color of this skin type
can include blue-black, dark to medium brown,
brown with an auburn cast, silver-gray, white,
platinum blonde, all ranges of ash blonde,
blue-gray or pearl white.

-
Yellow and white two-toned gold
is magnificent on either of the above skin
types. When worn by someone with yellow
undertones, the yellow gold will bring out
their natural skin and hair colors while the
contrasting white gold will add tremendous
impact. The same applies to the person with
blue undertones. For a smashing entrance and a
lasting impression, choose the two-tone.

-
Yellow, white and rose
tri-toned gold is a
special combination of gold that looks
absolutely stunning on people who have golden
undertones to their skin, particularly those
who have red or auburn colored hair. However,
it lends itself regally to romantic evenings
out and special occasion wear for blue and
golden undertone persons alike, giving a rich
and appealing look to any outfit.
